It’s Pizza Time: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection Releases 2022

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection was officially announced Wednesday at PlayStation's 2020 State of Play.

"Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo are back from the sewers .... Thirteen radical games from KONAMI's entire archive of retro 8-bit, 16-bit, and arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) titles and their Japanese versions [11 Japanese regional versions total -No Japanese versions released for TMNT (Arcade) and TMNT: Tournament Fighters (NES)] will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC Steam," according to a KONAMI press release.

KONAMI teamed up with game developer Digital Eclipse, known for remastering Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King and the Mega Man Legacy Collection. 

Digital Eclipse adapted the old TMNT games to modern gaming systems with quality-of-life features such as save anytime, rewind (if you mess up), button mapping, and added online play for: TMNT (Arcade), TMNT: Turtles in Time (Arcade), TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist, TMNT Tournament Fighters (Super Nintendo). The developer also worked in local couch play for all titles where/how the games were initially intended. 

"The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will also come with a digital game guide for each title to help players fight and sometimes swim through difficult areas," according to a KONAMI press release.
